If you’ve been following along with “How to Blog For Money” then you should have a been blogging for a while now. You’ve probably amassed a good amount of good quality content. You’ve been blogging about topics that you like and can personally relate with. But the big question is … are you getting any visitors or traffic?

You can have the VERY best blog on the internet but without Traffic or Visitors you’re guaranteed to not make any money. Luckily, traffic begins with quality content.

So you have a great content but still no traffic? Here are a few good ways to get traffic and luckily these are also great ways to build links to your website.

Join a Forum - Joining a forum about your niche is a great way to get your blog out to people interested in the same topic as you are. You can simply join the forum and join in on the conversations. At most forums you can add a signature at the bottom of your posts. I highly recommend not adding a signature until you’ve posted 5-10 times as you may be labeled a spammer if you add a signature too soon. It is best to make your posts useful and insightful to the conversations. You’re much more likely to get visitors from the forum if you’ve shown knowledge about the subject.

Social Media - If you haven’t setup a Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon button to your site then now’s the time. I recommend the Social Media Plugin for wordpress. This is a great way to get exposure to people surfing the web LOOKING for things to read. If you’ve written a really good post about a topic then you can submit the article yourself. However, be very careful as this is actually against most social media terms and conditions. Doing so you risk your account and being banned.

Join Twitter - I blogged about twitter back in April about it being a great social networking medium. Twitter is a great place to make a little comment saying ‘New Blog Post” or “The title of the blog post”. This then reaches everyone in your blog network. Nobody in your blog network yet? Then add a link to your forum signature or post a thread on your forum saying let’s all join Twitter. Another option that isn’t as topic specific is add as many people as you can to Twitter. Lots of people will just return the favor and join your Twitter network.

Article Marketing - Create a good quality article about a topic in your niche and submit it to article directories. Be sure to include a link to your blog in your signature (or about the author) section. I recommend submitting your article to Ezinearticles.com. There are plenty more article directories to consider just do a search for article marketing.

Facebook Profile - Add your blog to your facebook profile. You can then join other topics about your niche at facebook and participate in conversations. This is basically the same idea as the forum signature method but a bit less effective. Still worth pursuing if you are already on Facebook.

Yes, these methods take some time, however, most work does take time. If you already have the quality content and are just looking to get visitors then spend the time that you would making a post into getting visitors. The more visitors you get means the more money you’ll make and thus your motivation to continue to blog will probably increase!
