One of the great things about writing for blogs and making these websites is getting recognition. This recognition can come in two forms, money and praise. Obviously, most of the blogs I run the main intent is money. However, getting some sort of praise is always nice.
Recently I’ve had other fellow bloggers that I have had no contact with make posts about my blogs. They’ve mentioned how they either ‘enjoy this blog’ or ‘find it helpful’. This is one of those feel good moments, however, let’s look beyond the warm fuzzy feeling for a second.
These people are creating links to your site naturally and talking about your site. Not only does this get you a link (which we know is important) but it also helps to drive more traffic to your site. As we know, traffic is money
So what’s the best way to get these natural links to your site?
Seriously, the general principle behind your blog should be to provide some sort of value to your readers. This ‘value’ can come in terms of finding savings, information, reviews, stock tips, contests, etc… The better value you give to your reader the more likely they will to link to your blog and thus generating free links and traffic.
