I’ve made two posts about PHPbay so far one as an introduction to PHPbay and one about creating multi-language phpbay sites. In the first post I mentioned that I didn’t want to say that this method does / does not work because I hadn’t actually tested it myself.

After creating a site, adding the necessary plugins and building very few backlinks I’m please to say that you CAN make money this way. For the record, I never really had any doubt, however, I did have a surprising bit of a surprise.

The interesting thing that I’ve found is that with my disc golf PHPbay sites I get lots of VERY longtail keyword terms. Longtail keywords are those searches when someone types in more then one search term. So instead of just searching for say disc golf someone would search for Discatcher Traveler Disc Golf Basket. When they search for these longtail terms my site comes up.

You might be saying, How does that help me? Not a lot of people are searching for those terms. Ahh, correct you are and incorrect you are. Yes, lots of people won’t be searching for the same longtail terms but as a whole these longtail keywords will actually make up a large group of terms.

Anyway, thus far I’ve only made $5 which isn’t really anything to write home about. However, I have done very little promotion and the site has only been up for less then a month. Therefore, it’s barely out of the google ’sandbox’ and still getting listed for searches. The main point of this blog is that you can actually make some money using phpbay and you don’t need large amounts of traffic.

I highly recommend trying phpbay out as it’s a good way to Build Affiliate Ebay Stores. Once it’s setup it can run itself as the Ebay auctions are automatically updated! In the next post I’ll detail what I consider to be some ‘good’ niches and some steps to making your site profitable.
