My first week of the $1K PPC experiement is complete. When I first started this I thought it’d be a great way for me to actually commit to PPC. Apparently this idea is not really new as I found Shoemoney, a fellow blogger, did a similar challenge. However, his challenge was $10K and he never posted weekly updates. Anyway, I’ll continue on.
What have I done for my first week of PPC?
Well, since I was already signed up for many of the networks I emailed all my affiliate managers. I emailed my affiliate managers from Cpa Empire, Advaliant, RocketProfit and Hydra Network. From what I can tell from others online and my experiences these are all great networks.
Anyway, I asked my managers what the current “hot offers” and the associated Conversion Rate (CR) and Earning Per Click. I did this because then I can tell if the offer is hot based on these results. When I start to promote and offer I can rest assured that the offer does convert. Therefore, if I have no success (or it doesn’t convert) then it’s probably me and not the offer.
After I received the offers I checked through the offers and did some brief initial research. After choosing a few offers that I’ll look at promoting I emailed my affiliate manager. I asked them to place my google tracking code on the thank you page of the offer site. This will allow me to track which keywords are converting.

The final thing I’ve done this week is setup my Efficient PPC to work with my Mac. I had to go and buy Parrallel’s, which I’m not counting in this experiment as I’ll need it anyway. I also realize that Efficient PPC costs money but I had purchased it before I started this experiment.
This week coming up I plan to gather a keyword list and launch my campaigns. I’ll start by IFraming the offer(s) while waiting for my landing page to be designed.
