A couple of posts ago I mentioned Twitter. Twitter is probably THE most social of social networking sites. You simply sign-up and then write what you’re up to (or what you’re thinking or eating or whatever).
So how does this actually help me to know what some person in California is eating right now?
Well, since I’ve started Twittering I’ve actually been in contact with some other people that make money online. Albeit, in different ventures then blogging to make money, however, still very related. (Although, they do make money off of their blogs). Anyway, I’ve also found some pretty cool new blogs to read by using this application. I try to do the following when using twitter.
I signed up and followed (twittered / stalked whatever you want to call it) a few people internet people. I can provide a list if you want. However, I recommend following people in your niche. A good way to find people in your niche is to ask if anyone else twitters in the forum that you’re reading and participating.
Anyway, these people started discussing stuff with other people whom I wasn’t following. I then went to their twitter site and found some new sites. These new sites are actually about 100 times more useful then other information that I’d been reading since I first started, so that’s pretty cool! Likewise, Ive actually had a fair number of people check out this site from Twitter.
Anyway, I’m a big fan of twitter and if you want to follow / twitter me then just sign-up for twitter and follow thesilly1. I also highly recommend downloading Twitterfox for firefox as it make twittering WAY easier.
